- MxSecure: Medical Transcription Services, Electronic Health Records (EHR) & Speech Recognition
With no annoying screech of the microphone, welcome to the new MxSecure blog, and the launch of our new website. I’m Colin Christie, President and CEO of MxSecure. My marketing people insisted that I do the honors, so this blog post will have to serve as the traditional “smash a bottle of champagne” christening. Sometimes the old ways of doing things hold value, even if it’s only to raise a smile.
Yes, this version of our website and this blog may be new. MxSecure, most assuredly, is not. Since our humble beginnings in 2003, we’ve grown. Dramatically. Today, we’re the largest provider of medical transcription services to physician practices in the nation. Our network includes more than 4,500 providers across all medical specialties, in more than 600 individual practices, group practices and community health centers.
So how did we manage this transformation? By watching, listening and learning from each of our customers. We took the things we learned about HOW physicians and their staff members work, and we used it to create our core products: Medical Transcription Services, Speech Recognition and now, MxChart, our Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution.
Each product is designed to increase physician productivity from Day One. And they WORK. Because they’re grounded in the everyday realities of the medical world, not in some tech person’s idea of what that world looks like. And it’s made all the difference. Just ask our customers. MxSecure’s productivity solutions have a positive impact on the time they’re able to spend on their patients, and their bottom line.
Late in 2009, Entrepreneur Magazine named MxSecure as one of 10 healthcare companies to watch. We’re inviting you to come along for the ride.
Every couple of weeks, we’ll talk about some of the biggest issues facing the healthcare industry today, and what they mean for providers, practices, and patients. We encourage you to chime in. Ask questions. Comment. Be heard.
Because if you never speak up, who is going to listen?
