Mark McLaughin
Chief Technology Officer
As the Chief Technology Officer, Mark McLaughlin oversees the company’s product development. His role is to ensure that MxSecure creates industry leading healthcare technology solutions that will help our clients deliver quality patient care efficiently and profitably.
Mark has in-depth experience in the healthcare market. He previously served as CTO for eMedicalFiles, an Atlanta-based EHR software company, where he headed up a project to successfully upgrade their products. He also led the effort to successfully achieve CCHIT certification.
Previously, Mark spent 13 years with McKesson where, among other activities, he managed HIPAA and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) projects. He also has served on the Board of Directors of several industry-related commissions including the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (where he served as Chairman), the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission, the Association for Electronic HealthCare Transactions, and the American Accreditation HealthCare Commission.
In 2004 Mark was presented with the WEDI Chairman's Award, and in 2002 he was presented with the WEDI Distinguished Service Award. Mark is also a past recipient of the AFEHCT President’s Award for 2001.
Mark McLaughlin earned his Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa.
